On Friday, June 20, around 6:00 pm a Coach/Board Member called the umpire, a teenaged boy, cute and touch him. During our meeting with the umpire before the playoff game started this Coach/Board Member started our meeting off stating “oh, your cute” and touched his face. This was a very awkward moment for the umpire and myself and decided to change the topic immediately and asked the umpire if this was his first game. He was confused with my question and said he has been umping for a while and I said “no, is this your first game today?”. He responded “Yes, this was his first game of the day” and I said that was good because it was a really hot day.
Following the playoff game I asked this Coach/Board Member on June 22, 2025 why he called a teenage boy cute and touched him. He refused to respond to me for 3 days. Finally he called me on June 25, 2025 and admitted to calling the teenage boy cute and stated “That is the way he is”. Yes, this Coach/Board Member is a very touchy person. He should know that there is a huge difference between picking up and tickling 7 & 8 year old boys vs calling a teenage boy cute and touching him.
He then decided to file a police report and hire an attorney to send me a cease and desist because I told him I was going to file a DCFS report and go public about what he did.
