A man named George, who I assume has a child in Elmhurst Youth Baseball, is a complete scumbag and refused to shake my teams hand when we won the game. More to come, as this seemed to be completely staged by EYB or the President, who allegedly does the scheduling, does not know how to reschedule games.
I can completely understand why he did not want to shake my hand after my team kicked their a$$ but not to shake the boys hands, yup, scumbag! I have screenshots and messages of the whole incident.
And…. For those that know, yes, I did not shake the hands of the team in our Lake Geneva Tournament. In fact, it was after I decided to remove myself as a parent from “coaching” first base when the umpire called the opposing team “bush” for hovering our boys at the bases to try to get them out at 9 years old. Multiple comments were made between myself and the opposition during my presence at first base and decided to be the bigger man and ask another father to “coach” first base. The Head Coach of our Extreme team was standing next to me when the umpire called the other team “bush” (remember, it was the father/son duo). Our team did win the game and I absolutely amped the boys up with “whose house” chant.
More to follow…. (10/18/25)
Facts:
- I was questioned by the commission of the Comp League if I used his list of call ups because I could only field 4 or 5 players that game. I told him I did not call from the list because there was a boy on the list I “coached” the previous year who used the wrong glove (wrote with a hand he did not throw with). In fact, this is the same person that in 2023 called players who are some of the best in the league (at this age) to sub for his team in the playoffs which is against the rules (I still have those texts, as well). Just did not make a big deal of it because we obviously beat them and won the Championship that year, as well!
- George tried to start a fight with me before the game started claiming I was cheating when I have “black & white” agreement between his coach and our commissioner of the Minors League that it was alright I field the team I did. I let him and all the bystanders know I was not going to take their shit while I was literally setting up the field for their team. Sportsman?!?!?!?!?
- My team consisted of 7-9 year old’s when the Minors League is for 8-10 year old’s. My 7 year old made a stunning play at third in bottom of the 5th (I believe) that this person named George hated. “Bro, even though you just made a horrible decision as a “coach”, admit that was a hell of a play!”
- 6 of the 8 Comp teams had games the same day/time(ish). What is EYB trying to do? Why did our commissioner not allow for a reschedule, “again”? In fact, I gave the commissioner and the opposing coach plenty of time that I could not field a team that Friday….
- Why was I threatened that same night to “be careful or I will be a wanted man in the coaches circle”? Yes, I did consistently call this infamous father nasty names because it is completely unacceptable to not shake my team hands.
- Why did the President of EYB never respond/call to the email I sent regarding this situation and only called me back because I texted him a month later. They claim “delivering a fun, developmental and inclusive baseball experience for every player….” and our steadfast in “integrity, transparency, and service”…. Really, doesn’t seem that way.
- A “sub” I tried calling that day to play for my team was actually on the opposing team. I called the parents because I knew their other child was playing a Comp game at the other field. Interesting, when “they found out they were playing my team they decided to go to the game” and I believe this child was on the Little League team ’25…. Isn’t there a rule for how many house games the kids are supposed to be at?
