I am not a lawyer nor will I ever claim to be but I do follow a very simple principle in life, the law of common sense and “if it looks like a duck” well…. it is usually a duck.
On July 7, 2025 I received another cease and desist from Grogan Hesse & Uditsky, P.C. (ps. a volunteer at EYB has a partner that works there) stating they “are contacting me to demand that I immediately cease and desist from defaming and negatively speaking about EYB on my social media sites as well as harassing the EYB Board Members”. The also stated that “intentionally publishing and/or posting another person’s information without their consent, with the intent to harass, cause harm, or in reckless disregard for potential harm that may result , is a violation of the Civil Liability for Doxxing Act if it causes emotion distress, substantial life disruption, and/or economic injury. See 740 ILCS 195/10.”
For the record, are you referencing when a person named Rob liked the RestoreEYB.com Facebook page and also liked a post? EYB does not disclose who their Board Members are and only know what I know. If so, this person opted into my page (RestoreEYB.com on Facebook) and I do believe I have the right to name the individual. In addition, how is thanking someone for liking a post on my page and telling him I will not block him like I was blocked any form of defaming and negatively speaking about an individual. I cannot just tag someone in a comment randomly if they did not take action first.
I would assume that lawyers are lied to by clients all the time…. But, you have a partner of a volunteer that works for you and it is all public information. Did you do you due diligence?
